About the role

This is not an entry-level SaaS role. We're hiring an experienced Account Executive to own net-new business across the association market — sourcing pipeline, running full-cycle enterprise deals, and closing. You've successfully sold enterprise software into associations and understand how buying decisions get made across membership, education, certification, conferences, meetings, marketing, and technology teams. You likely come from an association-technology company — an AMS, LMS, event or abstract management, speaker management, certification, or learning platform. You carry credibility with executives, know the competitive landscape, and genuinely enjoy helping organizations solve meaningful problems through consultative selling.

Responsibilities

  • Own net-new revenue across enterprise associations — full cycle, from first touch through close.
  • Self-source the majority of your pipeline: work your existing network while consistently opening new executive relationships through targeted outbound.
  • Build strategic account plans for large, complex association opportunities and drive them with urgency.
  • Navigate multi-stakeholder buying committees — conference, education, marketing, IT, membership, procurement, and executive leadership — and build champions at each.
  • Show up where our buyers are — industry conferences, association events, and customer meetings — and become a trusted voice in the community.

What You’ll Do

Success Metrics

  • By 30 days: Ramp on the platform, our differentiators, and the competitive landscape. Map your target account list and reconnect with the network you already have.
  • By 60 days: Consistent outbound in motion, a qualified early pipeline built, and your first discovery-to-demo cycles underway with real buying committees.
  • By 90 days: Self-sourced pipeline at healthy coverage against your number, several qualified opportunities advancing through stage, and clean forecasting in HubSpot.
  • First year: Consistently at or above quota, a repeatable motion for winning association deals, and a reputation — internally and in the market — as the person who owns this vertical.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of successful enterprise SaaS sales, with a proven record of selling software into associations.
  • Existing relationships across the association marketplace that you can activate.
  • Experience closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles.
  • A consistent history of exceeding quota.
  • Strong outbound prospecting paired with strategic account development — you build your own pipeline.
  • Excellent discovery, presentation, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
  • The ability to sell business value, not just product features, and to forecast enterprise deals accurately.
  • The ability to take the vision we're building and translate it into business value a customer can feel.
