Account Director
We are looking for an Account Director to join our high-energy team for one of our large tech clients. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented account lead who moves quickly, embraces new opportunities, and is genuinely curious about the client’s business and the work.
About the role
As the lead for the day-to-day client partnership, you will develop a deep understanding of the client’s business. You will partner closely with client stakeholders, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to ensure strategic and creative solutions address business needs and deliver against client goals. You will connect the dots across initiatives, champion strong ideas, and guide creative and strategy teams toward their best work while ensuring seamless delivery.

Responsibilities
- Client Partnership & Account Leadership: Lead the day-to-day client relationship, managing communications and building strong, trusted partnerships. Develop a deep understanding of the client’s business, priorities, and goals to provide proactive, structured guidance and anticipate needs. Align internal teams around a unified approach to the partnership and work.
- Drive Planning, Timelines & Delivery: Partner with clients and internal teams to define program approaches, scopes, and timelines. Guide cross-functional teams across strategy, creative, production, and data to deliver high-quality work on time, on budget, and to specification.
- Translate Insights into Compelling Narratives: Synthesize inputs from strategy, creative, and data teams into clear, cohesive stories for senior and executive audiences. Ensure insights and recommendations are actionable, address client needs, and connect directly to business goals.
- Champion Strategic and Creative Excellence: Ensure briefs clearly articulate the client’s business challenge, objectives, and measures of success. Champion strong strategic and creative ideas, guide teams throughout development and execution, and ensure the final work delivers against the brief and client goals.
- Connect Performance to Future Opportunities: Partner with strategy and data teams to understand the effectiveness of the work and translate insights into clear recommendations. Apply learnings to strengthen future briefs, creative solutions, and client programs.
- Ensure Operational Excellence & Team Alignment: Own account documentation, communication cadences, and stakeholder alignment. Maintain transparency, streamline ways of working, proactively resolve challenges, and foster effective collaboration across teams.
- Support Organic Growth: Identify and support organic growth opportunities within the client organization, helping expand existing projects into broader, longer-term programs.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in a fast-paced client-side or agency marketing team with an understanding of the fundamentals of marketing practices and principles.
- Experience managing clients, ideally experience working with high-tech clients.
- Must be a self-starter who can operate in a constantly evolving team environment.
- Excellent written communication skills with an extreme attention to detail.
- Seasoned at managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- A knack for unraveling complex problems and processes in an easy-to-understand way.
- Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills with presentation development skills.
- Experience in project management with substantial cross-functional interaction and a demonstrated ability to work successfully in a virtual global environment.
- Experience in developing detailed project proposals and estimates, and tracking utilization against project budgets.
- Skilled communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including both professional and casual styles of communication.
- Proficient in Google Docs, Slides, Sheets or equivalent (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- A tech-forward mindset with a strong foundation in AI literacy. You maintain an openness and active willingness to innovate, leverage emerging technologies, collaborate across disciplines, and optimize both creative and operational workflows.
Pay
This role offers location-based salary ranges. Actual compensation will be based on experience, skills, and location.
- Tier 1 (New York, San Francisco): $120,000—$140,000 USD
- Tier 2 markets (Los Angeles, San Diego): $110,000—$120,000 USD
- Tier 3 markets (Austin, Denver, Chicago): $105,000—$115,000 USD
- Tier 4 markets (Atlanta, Phoenix): $95,000—$105,000 USD
Schedule
This role is subject to our Return to Office (RTO) policy. If you reside within a commutable distance of one of our office locations, you will be expected to work from the office a set number of days per week. The specific details, including the number of required office days, will be in accordance with the company’s then-current RTO policy, which is subject to change from time to time.
