About the role
KCSA Strategic Communications is a full-service integrated communications firm that helps companies shape perception, build influence, and achieve meaningful business impact. Within KCSA, the Investor Relations (IR) team works to create new avenues for public companies to communicate their investment stories, define their value propositions, and secure new opportunities.
We’re seeking an Investor Relations Account Director who is as knowledgeable about financial markets as they are passionate about telling financial stories. The IR team takes data and shapes it into narratives for shareholders, stakeholders, and beyond. This role will work with companies advancing market-changing initiatives in media & advertising, financial services, healthcare, and alternative therapies.
Responsibilities
- Drive the quarterly reporting process, including earnings announcement preparation, earnings release development, script development for CEOs and CFOs, and Q&A preparation.
- Serve as a direct point of contact for client needs.
- Ensure client companies are strategically positioned for success with analysts, investors, and stakeholders.
- Ideate appropriate strategy, framework, and tactics, and provide high-impact corporate visibility that supports sales, attracts capital, and builds shareholder value.
- Draft, refine, and finalize investor-facing press releases, shareholder letters, and other financial documents.
- Draft, refine, and finalize investor marketing materials, including corporate presentations and investor meeting factsheets.
- Respond to inbound requests and inquiries from investors.
- Supervise junior colleagues to support client management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 7+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Financial Services, Equity Research, Economics, Financial Public Relations, or a similar relevant field.
- Understanding of finance, capital markets, current events, financial statements, and public company reporting requirements.
- Ability to lead a client’s financial communication strategy.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Diligent attention to detail.
- Exposure to or experience with CRM and Financial Research Systems, including Ipreo and Thomson Reuters Eikon (preferred).
