About the Role
The Account Director serves as a proactive business partner, driving strategic outcomes for complex pharmacy manufacturer programs through data-driven insights, collaboration, and operational excellence. This role influences senior stakeholders, aligns cross-functional teams, and ensures program growth and long-term success. Occasional travel to PANTHERx headquarters or manufacturer sites is required.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned manufacturer partners, delivering strategic, value-focused communication.
- Collaborate across internal departments and external stakeholders to align on program objectives and deliverables.
- Deliver measurable value to clients through performance outcomes, innovation, and partnership optimization.
- Use advanced analytics to demonstrate PANTHERx’s impact on patient outcomes.
- Drive critical program insights and recommendations using comprehensive business metrics.
- Translate data into strategic insights related to drug utilization, patient engagement, and payer performance.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with actionable analytics.
- Monitor and report on program KPIs, SLAs, and contractual metrics.
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations while driving performance improvements through internal collaboration.
- Utilize operational knowledge to ensure precise data transmission to partners and resolve discrepancies proactively.
- Own end-to-end program execution, including issue resolution, partner engagement, and performance tracking.
- Lead the implementation of advanced manufacturer programs and support product launches, staff training, and critical initiatives.
- Analyze trends in program performance (e.g., conversion, adherence, persistence) to identify improvement opportunities.
- Conduct program health checks, report findings, and collaborate on actionable items.
- Streamline communication between internal inventory teams and manufacturer supply chains to avoid disruptions to patient care.
- Manage ancillary business relationships (e.g., buy and bill, wholesale, In Office Dispense Networks).
- Provide leadership support to operations teams, including performance tracking and feedback.
- Attend in-person meetings and events at PANTHERx headquarters or manufacturer locations as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Health Science, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in healthcare, pharma, client services, or strategic program management.
- Demonstrated experience using data analytics to drive business outcomes.
- Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence senior and C-suite stakeholders.
- Prior leadership experience.
- Ability to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree (e.g., PharmD, Ph.D., MBA) in Health Science, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Experience in enterprise account management with pharma/healthcare client leadership.
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical manufacturers or specialty pharmacy operations.
- Proficiency in advanced reporting/BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
- Experience in process improvement (Lean Six Sigma, etc.).
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- Knowledge of commercial drug launch strategy, specialty pharmacy, market access, PBM relations, or healthcare data.

This role operates in a professional home or office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
