The Account Coordinator, Small Business Unit ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and execution of all policy documents, renewals, and day-to-day servicing requests for small personal lines accounts, acting as the primary contact for any administrative tasks related to a client's policies.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a point of contact for the client.
  • Monitors client questions, provides recommendations in partnership with the Account Management Team on appropriate coverage changes and/or contractual requirements.
  • Identifies, researches, and provides resolutions for standard client issues.
  • Provides support to the Account Management team in the remarketing of renewals to ensure a high level of account retention.
  • Creates proposals as directed by the Account Manager.
  • Reviews policies received from carriers to ensure accuracy to specifications/binders; expedites needed corrections with insurance carriers, processes or prepares endorsements and applications.
  • Facilitates prompt response from carriers to work toward a settlement of all claims.
  • Reviews policy audits and verifies their accuracy; confirms necessary corrections between the client and the carrier are executed at the direction of the Account Management team.
  • Proactively communicates with clients regarding any significant audit differences.
  • Reviews cancellations and determines the reason for cancellation requests with an attempt to save client accounts, as appropriate, while maintaining the company’s financial equity at the direction of the Account Management team.
  • Stays abreast of industry information, new products, legislation, coverage, and technology to continuously improve knowledge, performance, and services to clients.
  • Fully adopts innovative technology, including proprietary AI solutions, into the service process to deliver a best-in-class client service experience.
  • Performs other projects, duties, and tasks, as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Property and Casualty License from state of domicile is required and must be maintained.
  • Associate in Insurance (AINS) and/or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) Designation preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; four-year degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2+ years of client service experience in the insurance industry with a focus on personal lines.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus or a must in some locations.
  • In-depth understanding of commercial lines of coverage.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills for both in-person and teleconference/webinar sessions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills to maintain effective relationships with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and others.
  • Ability to understand written and oral communications and interpret information written within policies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word).
  • Computer literate with the ability to learn new software applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, insurance ratings, and underwriting procedures.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to travel to client sites, and a reliable source of transportation.

Pay

The wage range for this role is $20.00 - $36.54 per hour. This range takes into account factors such as skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, where an award, if any, depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.
