About the role

The Account Coordinator, Small Business Unit is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and execution of all policy documents, renewals, and day-to-day servicing requests for small personal lines accounts. They act as the primary contact for any administrative tasks related to a client's policies and must remain knowledgeable of advances in the insurance business.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a point of contact for the client.
  • Maintains accurate and timely policy documents and renewals.
  • Provides recommendations and solutions for client issues.
  • Facilitates communication and coordination with insurance carriers.
  • Reviews and confirms necessary corrections between the client and the carrier.
  • Communicates with clients regarding significant audit differences and cancellation requests.
  • Stays updated on industry information, new products, and legislative changes.
  • Uses innovative technology to enhance client service.

Requirements

  • A Property and Casualty License from the state of domicile is required.
  • An Associate in Insurance (AINS) and/or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of four years of client service experience in the insurance industry with a focus on personal lines is preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus or a must in some locations.
  • In-depth understanding of commercial lines of coverage is required.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills are essential.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Intermediate knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, and underwriting procedures.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

  • Computer literacy is required.

Pay

Range: $15.38 - $30.29 per hour.
