Account Associate

Role Overview

Serve as the main point of contact for external mortgage clients and internal business partners. Support a Relationship Manager and manage assigned client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate daily with clients via phone and email; explain reports and resolve inquiries.
• Handle account setup, maintenance, and oversight per policies and regulations.
• Generate and review reports in Excel (including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables) to summarize file status for clients.
• Ensure mortgage and collateral files meet client criteria before storage (3 days to 30 years).
• Research and assist Relationship Manager with day-to-day client issues.
• Create certifications, trust receipts, and handle sensitive correspondence.
• Work with internal departments and external vendors as needed.
• Assist with larger projects managed by others.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in financial services or professional customer service experience; or a Bachelor's degree in lieu of experience
• 6+ months of experience working within Microsoft Office INCLUDING Excel (vlookups/pivot tables)
• Preferred: 6+ months of experience working in the mortgage industry or working with mortgage documents
