ACCOMPANIST PARA - 6.5 HRS/DAY

Duties & Responsibilities

• Comfortable reading open score choral literature
• Accompany vocal groups during rehearsals and performances
• Play, read and learn new music fluently
• Job may include travel to performances out of the building
• Assist with Choral Library maintenance
• Assist in helping to maintain a positive school climate

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate and relate to students in a friendly manner
• Work with administration, classroom teachers and other building personnel
• Must be organized
• Must become familiar with building emergency and security procedures
• Job will require flexible work hours beyond the regular school day (after school, evenings, weekends)

Qualifications

• Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift fifty pounds and walk extended distances
• Ability to bend, squat and kneel in order to work with young children
• Must be physically able to walk the building (stairs included) and general campus on a routine daily basis
