About the role

This position includes varying amounts of inspection, troubleshooting, adjustments, repairing and performing overhauls and testing accessory components. This will also include general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of landing gear, systems and components on a variety of engines, using personal protection equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications, in a safe and clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and sign off on various documents for “Return to Service” and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Work with products and materials associated with component maintenance.
  • Perform overhauls or repairs on a wide variety of different airframe components.
  • Troubleshoot and assist in repairing / inspecting different airframe components.
  • Utilize and consistently learn new procedures on approved overhaul / repairs.
  • Work as a team player and assist co-workers as needed.
  • Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment and tooling when required.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English.
  • Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
  • Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
  • Maintain customer-oriented work habits.

Requirements

  • A High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • An Airframe and Powerplant license or associate's degree in aviation is ideal.
  • Previous Experience as a Mechanic is Required.
  • A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
  • Work under supervision of assigned Team Leader and Director of Maintenance.
  • May be directed to supervise other technicians in some capacity.

Skills

  • Understanding and implementation of regulations and guidelines.
  • Troubleshooting or evaluating system operation.
  • Working with others in a professional manner.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $21-$32. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance.

Schedule

Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
