About the role
Sorts, prices, and prepares donated accessories—jewelry, purses, wallets, backpacks, belts, hats, and similar items—for placement in the store.
Responsibilities
- Inspects donated accessories for overall quality and determines disposition based on store manager's direction.
- Places items in appropriate locations for pricing and/or distribution.
- Prepares accessory items (belts, purses, wallets, jewelry, backpacks, etc.) for the store according to quality and pricing standards.
- Uses pricing machine, adhesive price tags, and tagging gun to price items in accordance with store standards and store manager's direction.
- Meets or exceeds production and quality goals and standards.
- Accomplishes assigned cleaning routine.
- Assists in training workers and consumers in cooperation with the Workforce Development Department staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Able to stand for two hours at a time over a period spanning up to eight hours.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach, and lift up to 40 pounds.
- Walking or standing to a significant degree.
- Able to move large boxes, furniture, and other heavy items.
