Accessibility Services Coordinator
About the role
The Accessibility Coordinator supports the implementation of accommodations for students with disabilities, working closely with the Director to determine eligibility and ensure compliance with ADA, Section 504, and related laws. This role serves as a key resource for students, faculty, and staff, manages accommodation processes and confidential records, and collaborates across campus to coordinate services such as notetaking and housing accommodations while promoting equitable access and supporting program assessment.
Responsibilities
- Accommodations and Access Support
- Coordinate accommodation requests and documentation including scheduling of intake meetings.
- Under the guidance of the Director, assist with communication with other departments in coordination of auxiliary accommodations pertaining to academic, housing, parking and meal plans.
- Support students with disabilities by referring to appropriate resources and providing information.
- Oversee the notetaking process, peer notetaking and digital notetaking, including payroll.
- May be asked to proctor exams for students with approved accommodations.
- Perform other administrative duties and tasks specific to the position.
- Participate in support groups for students with disabilities.

Proficiency with technology, including database management, record keeping, and secure file management systems.
Ability to maintain a secure remote environment, including reliable internet access and adherence to data security and confidentiality protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in student accessibility support, academic advising, student affairs, or experience with programs, and/or similar responsibilities; knowledge of and interest in working in a college environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in student development, psychology, higher education administration or related field. Experience in navigating student disability and access accommodations in a college setting.

Pay
Budgeted Salary Range: $24.00-$26.00
Schedule
This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week for 10 months per year from August to May annually. The regular hours for this position will be scheduled between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. These hours may vary due to needs of the College or department.
Physical Requirements
This is generally a sedentary position. Must be able to: Sit for prolonged periods of time; Operate a computer for prolonged periods of time; Communicate with others by email, in person and over the telephone; Read printed materials and a computer screen; Assist with the set-up and teardown of event tables, signage and other materials. Requires reaching overhead, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, bending, and twisting; Lift 15 pounds from the ground to waist level unassisted.
