Access/Senior Access Representative- Patient Access Center- PT Day Shift 24 hours

The incumbent provides high quality customer service to patients calling to obtain medical services at UCI Medical Center. Serves as a preceptor for new staff.

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Minimum 6 months of experience working in a call center setting plus 12 months experience working in a healthcare setting or 12 months experience working in a call center in a healthcare setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology
• Demonstrated knowledge of insurance programs and/or government programs
• Demonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax, scanner
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval
• Able to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
