About the role

ACCESS Life is our adult program, a hands-on, community-focused space where participants build real skills, real confidence, and real connections. We're hiring an instructor to help make it happen.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and facilitate daily structured learning activities across life skills, vocational readiness, creative arts, leisure, and community integration
• Track and document participant progress accurately and on time, including data collection required for Medicaid Waiver compliance
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive program environment at all times
• Communicate regularly and professionally with participants' families and support networks
• Respond calmly and appropriately to behavioral or medical situations, following ACCESS protocols
• Aid participants with daily living tasks as needed
• Support community integration outings and off-site activities
• Collaborate with the Lead Instructor and program director to continuously improve programming
• Maintain required certifications and participate in all required training

Qualifications

• Loves working with adults with developmental disabilities
• Can make learning fun and real
• Is dependable, organized, and a strong communicator
• Holds a degree in special education, human services, social work, or a related field, or has direct support experience

$38,000 – $40,000/year
