Access Coordinator II
Summary of Job Duties
The Cancer Institute Front Desk II (Access Coordinator II) will meet, greet, and assists the public, answer telephones and/or will coordinate appointments, referrals, consults, tests and/or procedures, check-in and registers patients, check-out patients, and collect payments and issue receipts.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED Two (2) years of customer service or healthcare experience Basic proficiency with computers (preferably MS Office) General knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners
- Preferred Qualifications: Epic Experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment Knowledge in basic medical terminology
Job Requirements
Schedules, reschedules, and coordinates appointments using the hospital systems by performing visit notifications of patients. Collects co-pays, deductible, and/or payments for patient account. Conducts pre-registration as needed, inputs and/or updates accurate patient information. Conducts insurance verification and benefits explanation by running eligibility on patients. Requests outside records and gathers outside medical records from referrals and files patient charts as needed. Works and completes workqueue daily. Assists other teams as needed.
Salary Information
$16.88 - hr
