Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, and wire access control systems and associated hardware
- Pull, route, label, and dress low voltage and structured cabling
- Install and wire: Door contacts, Motion detectors, Request-to-exit devices, Sounder/siren devices, Electric strikes, Magnetic locks, Card readers, Optical and security devices
- Wire and terminate access control panels, controllers, and boards
- Install and support structured cabling infrastructure and head-end/MDF room buildouts
- Mount, install, and wire IP cameras throughout the facility
- Assign IP addresses and perform basic camera configuration
- Perform firmware upgrades and downgrades on security devices as required
- Test, troubleshoot, and verify proper operation of installed systems
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, riser drawings, and installation plans
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional installations
- Clock in with project leads, project managers, and general contractors
- Follow AWS site requirements, safety protocols, and security procedures
Requirements
- OSHA 10 Certification (Provided)
- Ability to pass all AWS onboarding requirements
- Ability to work safely within an active construction environment
- Strong communication skills
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk active construction sites throughout the day
- Ability to lift and carry tools, materials, and equipment
- Ability to work from ladders and elevated work areas as required
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work in a physically active environment
