Access Control Specialist, Full-Time
Amentum is seeking Access Control Specialists to join a team of 500+ front-line security professionals protecting critical national assets for a US intelligence community customer. About the role
As an Access Control Specialist, you will monitor and control access to restricted areas, ensuring proper identification for employees and visitors. You will prevent prohibited items from entering or leaving the building, provide directions and customer service, and contribute to a career in the security field.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access of employees and visitors in and out of restricted areas by verifying proper identification.
- Prevent prohibited and restricted items from entering or leaving the building.
- Provide directions and excellent customer service to employees and visitors.
- Support 24/7 operations, including potential assignment to challenging shifts.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and polygraph.
- Commitment to working 16 hours biweekly (2 weekend shifts per pay period).
- Valid state driver’s license in good standing.
- High School diploma or GED.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Residence within a 75-mile radius of Annapolis Junction, MD.
- Fluency in reading, speaking, and understanding English.
- Ability to work in a restricted mobile communication zone (mobile devices must be left at home or in your car).
Physical Requirements
- 20/20 vision (correctable with glasses or contacts) and close vision correctable to Jaeger No. 4 type test for both eyes.
- No color blindness.
- Normal fields of vision and depth perception, as defined by the Snellen chart.
- Hearing correctable to normal level with hearing aids (pure tone audiometry hearing level of 0 decibels or lower).
- Ability to stand continuously for 4 hours at a time.
Schedule
- 1st shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (±1 hour) or 2nd shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (±1 hour), based on contract needs.
Pay
$18.29–$29.53 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
