Access Controlled Specialist - Full Time

Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access of employees and visitors in and out of restricted areas by verifying proper identification.
- Prevent prohibited and restricted items from entering or leaving the building.
- Provide directions and excellent customer service to employees and visitors.
- Communicate security policies and procedures effectively.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and polygraph.
- High School diploma or GED.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Valid state driver's license in good standing.
- Reside within a 75-mile radius of Annapolis Junction, MD.
- Fluent in reading, speaking, and understanding English.
- Ability to work in a restricted mobile communication zone (mobile devices must be left at home or in your car).
Physical Requirements
- 20/20 vision (correctable with glasses or contacts) and close vision correctable to Jaeger No. 4 type test for both eyes.
- No color blindness.
- Normal fields of vision and good depth perception, as defined by the Snellen chart.
- Hearing correctable to normal level with hearing aids (pure tone audiometry hearing level of 0 decibels or lower).
- Ability to stand continuously for 4 hours at a time.
Schedule
- Must be available to work one of the following shifts based on contract needs:
- 1st shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (±1 hour)
- 2nd shift: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (±1 hour)
- 3rd shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (±1 hour)
- Supports 24/7 operations; may be assigned challenging shifts.
Pay
Hourly rate: $18.29 – $29.53. Actual compensation may vary based on job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
