Responsibilities
- Conforms with the AAR MTA guidelines in formulating MTA AAR recommendations.
- Reviews related medical records and previous recommendations (if applicable) that may influence the evaluator’s recommendation.
- Screens, evaluates, and assesses MTA AAR applicants that are scheduled.
- Reviews medical information and conducts screenings prior to evaluations to determine patient need for transport services and ability to benefit from the MTA AAR program.
- Coordinates and communicates with the AAR Supervisor to resolve concerns related to applicant’s documentation and records that may influence the recommendation.
- Maintains continual professional growth and development through continuing education programs, MTA training, and other learning experiences.
- Maintains accurate billing information in accordance with facility procedures on a daily basis.
- Adheres to documentation requirements of the Rehabilitation department and the facility.
- Completes documentation within the acceptable time frame.
- Conducts staff training and education via formal and informal in-services and consultations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Physical Therapy, Bachelor's in Nursing, or Associate Degree in Licensed Practical Nursing with a current state license and registration.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Competency in aspects of assessments and evaluation principles.

Pay
Rates are based on position, years of applicable experience, and employment type. Ranges include levels for per diems (no benefits) and Independent Contractors.
