About the role

The Academy Tutor position supports students at Topaz Elementary within the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District. This role follows the same guidelines as an instructional aide.

Schedule

• 9.5-month work year (204 paid days)
• 5 days per week, Monday through Friday
• 19.75 hours per week
• Shift hours: 2:03 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Pay

Hourly rate: $19.95 - $24.30 (Range 16)

Requirements

• Open to PYLUSD permanent employees, substitutes, and external applicants
• Interviews will begin with permanent applicants qualified for an interview
• Selected candidates must complete a DOJ/FBI LiveScan
• Completion of high school education (copy of transcript required)
• Minimum of 48 units of higher education or passing the District's Proficiency Test (ESSA Instructional Aide Testing) with a score of 70% or higher
• Current resume demonstrating the ability to read and write at a level necessary for job performance
