About the role
To assist school staff in planning, developing and implementing the Academy Program curriculum and activities along with enhancing the school's general instructional program.
Responsibilities
- Assists in planning, developing and implementing academy and regular instructional program curriculum and activities
- Assists in planning, developing and implementing school site professional development programs
- Assists in planning, writing and evaluating academy program activities
- Assists teachers in selection of appropriate materials to meet individual student needs
- Assists in developing, implementing, coordinating and monitoring academy program activities master schedule
- Provides direct services to students during regular day to blend with Academy program
- Assists in assignment of and evaluation of academy program personnel
- Conducts parent-teacher-student conferences as needed
- Maintains necessary records and files
- Attends meetings as assigned by principal
- Models personal and professional values of equity, integrity, caring, collaboration, personal and collective accountability
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- California teaching credential
- Three years K-6 classroom experience
- Experience with STEAM activities, and visual and performing arts programs desirable
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings
Pay
$77,973 - $137,256 annually (190 days. Max. salary includes education and shift differential stipends)
Conditions of Employment
- Some positions may require proof of privately owned automobile insurance and the possession of a valid California Motor Vehicle operator's license
- Fingerprint clearance by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the California Department of Justice is a condition of appointment after all other required job conditions have been met
- Must present verification of completion of Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training or obtain verification within six (6) weeks of hire and annually thereafter, as required by the California Child Abuse Neglect Reporting Act
