Kate’s Tutoring is a fun, student-focused, and supportive online tutoring company. We’re passionate about helping students grow not just academically, but as thoughtful, curious citizens of the world. Our tutors are dynamic, creative, and genuinely love what they do — and we’d love to add more like-minded people to our team!
Who We’re Looking For

- Deep subject knowledge and ability to switch between different topics
- Enthusiasm for working with students
- Self-motivation, tech-savviness, and comfort with teaching on Zoom
- A flexible and professional approach
- US-based residency
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong mastery of subject(s) taught
- 2+ years of teaching or tutoring experience with K–12 students
- Academic background (GPA 3.5+ or equivalent)
- Fluency in English
- Reliable computer with webcam and fast internet
- Able to pass a background check (or provide a current teaching credential)

What You’ll Do
- Provide 1:1 or small-group tutoring in a fully remote setting
- Design personalized lesson plans and adapt on the fly as needed
- Track student progress and communicate with families as appropriate
- Foster student confidence, not just competence
The Details
- Position type: Independent Contractor
- Pay: $20–30/hour, based on experience and subject area
- Schedule: Flexible, but consistent weekly availability preferred. Evening and weekend availability is a huge plus
- Location: Remote (U.S.-based only)
