Academic Tutor

About the role

Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the state curriculum. Provide supplemental assignments to students to help promote a greater understanding of the material. Provide remedial and enrichment support for students. Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress. Provide a customized approach tailored to the individual needs of each student.

Requirements

• A qualified applicant will have a bachelor’s degree
• Meet at least one of the following criteria:
• You hold a valid Florida State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof
• You are a current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate
• You have two or more years of experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher
• You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College
• You are a Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College
