Responsibilities

  • Works closely with Associate Dean and Director of Student Advancement for Student Affairs on all aspects of the Summer for Undergraduates Program, including design and development of marketing materials, identification and implementation of recruitment strategies, participating in recruiting visits, and working directly with participants.
  • Supports and assists with developing applications for scholarships, tracking responses, evaluating applications for completeness, compiling award data, maintaining database and file system for scholarship awards, preparing award memos, award letters, and monitoring status of awards electronically.
  • Serves as front desk professional in the busy Student Advancement Office, handling telephone inquiries, scheduling appointments, and managing office traffic from current and prospective students, alumni, and law school guests.
  • Oversees daily operations of the office, ensuring the office is staffed and stocked at all times.
  • Performs other duties as required by the Associate Dean and Director of Student Advancement.
  • Serves as the Office of Student Affairs' point person on uses of technology, including organizing shared network files, maintaining current information on web site pages, developing databases to track scholarships, Pro Bono, and Summer Program participants data, and designing Power Point presentations for various Office programs and functions.
  • Provides administrative support to law school's 35+ registered student organizations, including coordinating and tracking membership and registration, and assisting with event planning and promotion.
  • Covers student events, including ordering setup and student collaboration.
  • Provides administrative support to Assistant Dean/Pro Bono Program Director, maintaining tracking spreadsheets to reflect student hours and sites, updating pre-approved pro bono lists, updating promotional materials, notifying students of pro bono opportunities, planning the annual Pro Bono Fair, preparing reports on student pro bono outcomes, preparing pro bono program orientation presentations, and managing the Student Advancement Canvas site.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with two years of relevant experience. Additional education and/or experience may be considered at a comparable rate.
