Academic Success Coach

About the role

The Academic Success Coach will help students with various topics, including academic progress, course advisement, financial literacy, time management, study skills, and test-taking strategies. This position will report to the Director of Student Support Services (SSS) and is central in advancing student retention, persistence, and degree completion. Student Support Services is part of Access & Opportunity Programs and provides targeted support to low-income and first-generation college students.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual academic and personal support to an assigned group of students as they progress through their time at SUNY Plattsburgh
• Serve as a member of an integrated college success team
• Coach and collaborate to ensure students meet their optimal potential at SUNY Plattsburgh
