Academic Spine Surgeon

About the role

The Department of Neurosurgery and the Center for Spine and Pain Medicine in the Neurological Institute at the Cleveland Clinic are seeking a full-time, academic spine surgeon to be based at our main campus in Cleveland, Ohio. Academic rank at the Assistant or Associate Professor level will be determined by qualification and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care for patients with spinal disorders
• Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
• Participate in research activities related to spine care
• Collaborate with other specialists in the Neurological Institute, particularly in the Center for Neuroimaging

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible neurosurgical or orthopaedic spine surgeon
• Spine fellowship training required

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Current medical license in good standing

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong surgical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
