Academic Skills Advisor in Social Sciences

Casual, part-time role working variable hours for a maximum of 16 hours per term (weeks 0–9).

About the role

Christ Church seeks to appoint an Academic Skills Advisor in Social Sciences to support the College’s undergraduate and taught graduate students. The postholder will join the Academic Skills Support team under the supervision of the Academic Skills Coordinator and the Academic Registrar, providing up to 16 hours of academic skills sessions during term time. There may also be occasional opportunities to deliver additional sessions during vacations, subject to need and availability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver academic skills sessions tailored to Social Sciences students, helping them develop essential academic competencies.
• Work collaboratively with the Academic Skills Support team to identify and address student needs.
• Provide occasional additional skills sessions during vacations, as required.

Pay

£33.50 per hour (current rates).
