Department Overview
The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), Department of Radiation Oncology at the NCI-designated Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center—Nebraska's only NCI-designated cancer center with locations in the Omaha metropolitan area and Kearney Nebraska—serves as the hub for our clinical, research, and education activities. Our expanding department includes twelve physicians, eleven physicists, and research faculty and research staff.
Facilities and Support
We will have the only proton therapy capability in the state of Nebraska and the region. This includes Flash research capability.
Qualifications
- Hold an MD/DO (or equivalent degree)
- Be board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology
- Academic rank is consistent with qualifications
