About the role

The Academic Programs Coordinator manages core administrative operations, data reporting, and project execution for assigned academic programs. This role specializes in coordinating clinical placements, managing compliance, supporting the admissions process, and serving as a primary liaison for students, faculty, and community partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support and execute assigned projects, daily operations, and activities within the School of Nursing.
  • Maintain precise student files and records; analyze program data to generate and disseminate periodic monthly and semester reports.
  • Facilitate the delivery of required program services and independently manage specific program elements to improve overall operational efficiency.
  • May oversee, guide, or coordinate the work of student employees or less experienced staff members; provide administrative support to student groups as needed.
  • Work directly with the Clinical Coordinator to facilitate student clinical placements and manage logistics utilizing various placement platforms.
  • Oversee and enforce clinical compliance requirements within the School of Nursing; collaborate with community partners to ensure faculty and students obtain necessary training, system access, and security badges.
  • Provide substantial administrative support to the admissions committee and guide applicants through the admissions process.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the School of Nursing; proactively communicate clinical placements and health compliance deadlines to students.
  • Utilize knowledge of academic and complex clinical policies to triage student and faculty inquiries appropriately; independently draft professional correspondence, reports, and memos.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience.

Skills

  • Ability to effectively prioritize, manage, and execute multiple projects and concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision, utilizing reference materials and systems to develop proficiency in new software.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to exercise discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Proven ability to represent the department professionally, serving as an effective liaison between faculty, students, staff, and external community partners.

Pay

Salary range is $49,732.80 to $51,708.80 annually and is commensurate with experience.
