Responsibilities

  • Represents institution and/or assigned program(s) at community and campus events, in meetings with other institution personnel, and during accreditation processes.
  • Represents college programs, markets programs, and secures sponsorships from new and established corporate partners while ensuring the support does not compromise key components of the program per accreditation standards.
  • Performs routine audits and updates to keep website content accurate and timely.
  • Affords assistance in activities required for program accreditation.
  • Affords assistance in reviewing operating practices and procedures to determine whether improvements can be made in areas such as workflow, reporting procedures, or expenditures.
  • Affords assistance in assessing program quality, presenting results, and making recommendations to management.
  • Sets up and manages paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material.
  • Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by laws, policies, and administrative regulations.
  • Contributes to the budget preparation and reporting for assigned program(s).
  • Affords assistance in processing travel and expense reports.
  • Affords assistance in the development, evaluation, and revision of school programs and in the preparation of master schedules for curriculum offerings.
  • Determines course schedules, and coordinates teaching assignments and room assignments to ensure optimum use of buildings and equipment.
  • Affords assistance in the assignment and scheduling of adjunct faculty and guest speakers and facilitates appropriate communications.
  • Manages and monitors adjunct and speaker contracts.
  • Facilitates online course module set-up.
  • Facilitates qualifying exams.
  • Captures test administration and outcome reporting.
  • Acts as liaison between the University, college, and contracted employers or institutions.
  • Affords assistance in alumni tracking and communication activities.
  • Affords assistance in planning special events and/or Continuing Education functions.
  • Captures the production and dissemination of university publications.
  • Affords assistance in the recruitment, selection, and supervision of student employees and graduate assistants, and/or volunteers.
  • Attends meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops and serves on committees.
  • Maintains data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge: Customer and Personal Service, English Language, Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Skills: Active Listening, Critical Thinking, Reading Comprehension, Speaking, Judgment and Decision Making, Monitoring, Writing, Complex Problem Solving.
  • Abilities: Problem Sensitivity, Inductive Reasoning, Deductive Reasoning.

Qualifications

  • Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Required Experience: Five (5) or more years of experience in academic program management or related student service function.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree and one (1) year of experience in academic program management or related student service function.
