Position Overview

The St. Vincent’s Medical Center, in partnership with Southwest Family Health Center, is seeking a Primary Care Faculty Physician to join the Internal Medicine Residency Program clinic in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician interested in teaching, mentorship, and academic medicine while maintaining a strong clinical focus—without the responsibility of managing an independent patient panel.

Position Highlights

  • 90% Clinical Precepting / 10% Administrative
  • Approx. ½-day per week protected admin time
  • No independent patient panel - Clinical work is performed with residents only
  • Monday–Friday schedule, No weekends
  • No call
  • Academic faculty appointment at the Quinnipiac University Frank H. Netter School of Medicine

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license (or eligible)
  • Passion for medical education, teaching, and mentorship
  • Interest in academic medicine and community-based care
