About the role

The Faculty of Art and Design at King Salman International University (KSIU), Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor in Graphic Design and Advertising.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Graphic Design, Advertising, Visual Communication, or a closely related field from a recognized institution. Candidates should demonstrate an excellent command of the English language, proficiency in the use of digital technologies and computer applications for teaching and learning, and advanced competency in industry-standard design and creative software. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Teaching 2–3 courses per semester;
• Academic advising and mentoring of students;
• Conducting research, scholarly, and creative activities;
• Participating in community engagement and professional service activities;
• Undertaking departmental and administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

• Teaching duties include classroom, studio, laboratory, and online instruction;
• Maintaining expertise in the subjects taught;
• Preparing instructional materials;
• Consulting with students regarding course content;
• Grading examinations, assignments, and presentations;
• Supervising independent study, capstone, and research projects.

Qualifications

• Held a Ph.D. in Graphic Design, Advertising, Visual Communication, or a closely related field from a recognized institution;
• Excellent command of the English language;
• Proficiency in the use of digital technologies and computer applications for teaching and learning;

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Visual Communication, or a closely related field from a recognized institution. Candidates should demonstrate an excellent command of the English language, proficiency in the use of computer applications and educational technologies, and strong practical skills in industry-standard design software. Applicants Should Have Demonstrated Competency In Software Such As: Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk 3ds Max, AutoCAD, Video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent)
