Academic Physician - MD/DO - Internal Medicine

About the Role

This position is for a Core Faculty Internal Medicine Physician in an accredited residency program, combining clinical practice with graduate medical education and program leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient Internal Medicine and Transitional Care clinical care, supervising 100% of resident patient encounters.
• Support curriculum development, resident assessment, recruitment, and scholarly activities.
• Engage in educational activities such as didactics, simulation, and faculty development.
• Mentor and advise residents, participate in program committees, and oversee resident performance and scholarly projects.
• Contribute to faculty development and program evaluation initiatives.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree and ABIM board certification or eligibility.
• Eligible for Missouri medical licensure.
• Interest in academic medicine, teaching, and resident development.

Key Duties

• Support resident education, assessment, and recruitment efforts.
• Lead curricular components, scholarly projects, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate actively in educational and administrative meetings.
• Mentor residents and contribute to program evaluations and faculty development.
