Academic Physician - MD/DO - Internal Medicine

Role Overview This position is for a Core Faculty Internal Medicine Physician in an accredited residency program, combining clinical practice with graduate medical education and program leadership. Responsibilities Provide outpatient Internal Medicine and Transitional Care clinical care, supervising 100% of resident patient encounters.Support curriculum development, resident assessment, recruitment, and scholarly activities.Engage in educational activities like didactics, simulation, and faculty development.Mentor and advise residents, participate in program committees, and oversee resident performance and scholarly projects.Contribute to faculty development and program evaluation initiatives. Qualifications & Skills MD or DO degree and ABIM board certification or eligibility.Eligible for Missouri medical licensure.Interest in academic medicine, teaching, and resident development. Key Duties Support resident education, assessment, and recruitment efforts.Lead curricular components, scholarly projects, and quality improvement initiatives.Participate actively in educational and administrative meetings.Mentor residents and contribute to program evaluations and faculty development.
