About the role
The University of Georgia seeks an Academic Mentor to provide individualized instruction in areas such as time management, organization, note-taking, studying, and test-taking strategies, all within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations, while fostering academic independence and encouraging self-regulated learning.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized instruction in the areas of time management, organization, note-taking, studying, and test-taking strategies, all within the scope of UGA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations, while maintaining a supportive environment
- File reports on each session and communicate regularly and in a timely manner with Academic Counselors and Support Staff, in accordance with departmental policies
- Attend mandatory trainings/meetings
Requirements
This is a part-time position requiring 1 hour mentor sessions at a rate of $15.00 per hour. The anticipated start date is August 18, 2025.
