Job Duties
- Mentoring Sessions and Student Support
- C Conduct scheduled one-on-one mentoring sessions with student-athletes
- B Guide students in developing organization systems (task sheets, planners, digital calendars)
- C Assist in building time management, goal setting, and problem-solving skills
- D Help students break down assignments and lead progress checks to track academic success
- E Encourage accountability, proactive planning, and independent learning habits
- Reporting
- A Complete session reports after each meeting in Teamworks Academics
- B Document assignments, student progress, engagement, and any concerns in reports
- C Communicate attendance issues or student challenges with SAAS supervisor
- Trainings and Development
- A Attend required pre-semester mentor training
- B Participate in scheduled one-on-one meetings with the supervisor throughout the semester
- Professionalism and Program Expectations
- A Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance for all scheduled sessions
- B Uphold confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Required:
- A Must be an active CCU Student
- B Minimum of a 3.00 cumulative GPA
- C Junior level or higher
- D Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- E Ability to work consistently and reliably with scheduled commitments
- F Ability to maintain academic & professional integrity and confidentiality
- Preferred:
- A Experience working with peers in tutoring, mentoring, or leadership roles
- B Interest in education, student development, or academic support services
- Licensure and/or Certification
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
