About the role

Responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment and safety requirements. Assists students and faculty with the proper use of equipment, demonstrates procedures, and monitors users in the safe and proper operation of equipment. This position is for a chemistry lab technician, with occasional duties in other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Assist students and faculty with proper equipment usage.
• Demonstrate laboratory procedures.
• Monitor users to ensure safe and proper operation of equipment.
• Perform occasional duties in other scientific disciplines as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field with at least twelve (12) credit hours in the major field of study, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• One year of related experience.
• Three or more years of related experience preferred.
• Licenses or certifications may be required depending on area of assignment.
