Academic Hospitalist

Responsibilities

• Will be employed by Desert Valley Medical Group, a multi-specialty group affiliated with Desert Valley Hospital.
• Hospitalist with Academic opportunity.
• Board-Certified in Internal Medicine (required).
• Work with Internal Medicine residents.
• Responsible for rounding with residents and serving as core faculty for Internal Medicine Residency Program.
• Preferably okay doing procedures.
• Must be okay covering some shifts as Primary Care.
• (preferred)
• Open ICU.
• Traditional Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (8AM to 5PM) + 1 weekend a month.
• The position is in Victorville, CA – around 45 minutes away from Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
• Base salary starts at $275,000.00/year.
• Semi-annual production bonus in addition to base salary.
• Sign-On Bonus and Relocation Reimbursement for Full-Time.
• Open to J-1 Visa waiver sponsorship (Primary Care shifts required).

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Valid California medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Strong commitment to resident education and academic excellence.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Pay & Benefits

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is between $275,000. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
