The Department of Neurology at the University of Missouri – Columbia is seeking a full-time General Neurologist to join our vibrant and growing multi-specialty Neurology practice.

This is an excellent career opportunity for candidates just starting their careers, as well as experienced candidates to join a thriving academic neurology department. Join two additional General Neurologists as we expand our clinical offerings and practice models.

Opportunity Details

• Strong collaborations with Neurosurgery, PM&R, Physician and Occupational Therapy, and Primary Care
• Opportunities to assist in the department's growth, the education of medical students and residents, and pursuit of other academic/research interests
• No inpatient or night call
• Practice Schedule: M-F 8 AM-5 PM
• All ranks available commensurate with experience

• A dedicated 28-bed Neurosciences Center with 6 bed EMU
• 30-bed Neurosciences ICU
• An Accreditation with Exemplary Status NAEC Level IV Epilepsy program
• Certified MDA/ALS clinics
• A DNV-Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Certified MDA/ALS clinics
• An accredited Sleep Program
• Outpatient infusion center

• Offers comprehensive and multidisciplinary care in areas such as epilepsy, sleep disorders, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, comprehensive cerebrovascular disease, neurological intensive critical care, and headache.
• Expertise in various subspecialty areas, including pediatric neurology, neuro-ophthalmology, neuropathology, neuro-rehab, and multiple sclerosis.

Qualifications

• DO or MD medical degree;
• board-certified or board-eligible in neurology;
• residency trained;
• licensed or willing to obtain a license to practice in Missouri.

Candidates will be evaluated on:

• Interest in general neurology and open to sub-specialty in MS, Headache management, Neuromuscular disease, or Dementia care.
