Academic Functional Neurosurgeon opportunity in Indianapolis
About the role
This Faculty position requires expertise in epilepsy surgery, depth electrodes, intrathecal pumps, and complex peripheral nerve. Additional duties include direct clinical care and teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students. Participation in the clinical operations of a multidisciplinary comprehensive Functional and Stereotactic Center; engaging in academic pursuits, performing clinical research, and securing future funding.
Responsibilities
- Participation in and expansion of established comprehensive Functional and Stereotactic neurological surgery
- Direct clinical care and teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students
- Engaging in academic pursuits, performing clinical research, and securing future funding
- Call rotation with adult Neurosurgeons (generally 4-5 days per month)
- Outpatient clinic coverage at Goodman Hall, IU Health Methodist Hospital and the Indianapolis VA Hospital
Qualifications
- American Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurosurgery
