Academic Coordinator

1. About Our Client:The organization operates within higher education, specifically offering intensive science courses delivered online and on-campus in accelerated five-week blocks. It addresses the challenge of providing rigorous science education in a condensed format, supporting students and faculty through streamlined academic processes to maintain instructional quality and operational efficiency. 2. About the Opportunity:The Academic Coordinator role is designed to support the administration and coordination of academic operations within an accelerated sciences division. This position ensures the smooth delivery of courses, faculty support, and student academic processes aligned with institutional standards. The role is critical in maintaining instructional quality and operational consistency across accelerated course blocks. 3. Responsibilities:Monitor and respond to faculty inquiries daily.Manage weekly faculty communications outlining key tasks.Develop and facilitate faculty workshops for instructional development.Coordinate instructor tutoring to support student needs.Assist in maintaining faculty training modules.Support and enforce remote examination protocols, including virtual proctoring.Facilitate Pre-Term Faculty Meetings to align academic operations.Coordinate course scheduling, faculty assignments, and course readiness.Assist with course setup, audits, and template compliance in the learning management system.Monitor course progression and escalate concerns appropriately.Manage academic timelines for examinations, grading, and course closures.Maintain accurate academic records and operational tracking.Support enforcement of academic and examination policies.Coordinate grade change and incomplete petition processes.Oversee implementation of student accommodations in courses and exams.Maintain academic operations during business hours when needed.Participate in regular meetings at individual, team, and departmental levels. 4. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Health Sciences, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.Master’s degree preferred.Experience with academic operations, online learning environments, faculty coordination, or student services in higher education preferred.Experience working in accelerated, asynchronous, online course settings preferred.Strong attention to detail.Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively.Excellent communication and technical skills. 5.
