About the role

The Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (RWJMS) Department of Medicine is seeking an Academic Chief of the Division of Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. The new Chief will lead the Division in advancing research, faculty recruitment and development, scholarly activity, and clinical and teaching excellence.

Responsibilities

• Shape the growth of pulmonary services across the RWJBarnabas/Rutgers Health System
• Build collaborative research programs
• Mentor junior faculty
• Advance pulmonary medicine on the national/international stage
• Manage and mentor faculty
• Inspire and engage faculty
• Provide outstanding care
• Engage in continuous improvement of systems and processes
• Develop career paths for faculty

Requirements

• Passionate about building collaborative research programs
• Excellent communication skills
• High-level administrative skill
• Outstanding leadership
• Strong academic credentials
• Active funded research program in basic, translational, clinical, or health services research
• Board certified in pulmonary medicine
• Appointment to Associate Professor or Professor at Rutgers University
