About the role
Provides educational support services to students with special needs under the supervision of licensed professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support classroom teachers in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with families to develop home-school partnerships
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field
- Current certification or eligibility for certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passion for supporting students with diverse needs
Skills
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Proficiency in using assistive technology
