About the role
We are hiring an Academic Advisor (Full-time) to join the UTHealth Houston School of Public Health in Houston, TX. In this role, you will support the School of Public Health Office of Academic Affairs and Student Services through comprehensive academic advising, student support, and program coordination. This position works closely with students, faculty, and staff to ensure student success, retention, and timely progression toward degree completion. An ideal candidate should have prior experience in academic advising or similar work, as well as experience working with students. Master’s degree, preferred. What we do here changes the world. Responsibilities
- Provides advising information to students throughout the academic year.
- Provides support to students during the registration process.
- Explores various major and career options.
- Advises and counsels students for course selection/registration and develops student degree
