Responsibilities
- Meet with assigned students weekly, assisting with academic progress monitoring and planning.
- Aid students with academic skill development.
- Aid advisors with daily tasks such as compiling reports (study hall, grades, eligibility, class schedules, class checking report).
- Aid with recruiting.
- Maintain oversight of team study halls.
- Participate in bi-weekly trainings relevant to academic advising and learning specialist responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
- Minimum of two years of experience working directly with student-athletes.
- Demonstrated background in mentoring and advising students in academic or athletic settings.
- Prior experience supporting at-risk or academically vulnerable student-athletes is preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred, or current enrollment in a master’s program beginning in Summer 2026 or Fall 2026.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Strong multitasking skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities.
- Proven ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.

Special Instructions To The Applicants
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $15.66 - $16.00. The final hourly rate will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
