Academic Advisor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least one year of experience in advising, counseling, or in related fields in a higher education setting or equivalent combination of education and experience
• An established record of accomplishment promoting student development programs and building positive relationships
• Excellent interpersonal, human relations, teaching/presenting and problem-solving skills
• A collaborative disposition and possess the ability to think both critically and strategically
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years advising, counselor or comparable experience; with data systems, such as Ellucian Banner and EAB /Navigate, and Degree Works
