Responsibilities
- Guide employees as they enter selected education programs, working closely with advising partners to create a seamless start to their academic experience.
- Maintain consistent outreach throughout each learner’s academic journey using phone, email, and other communication channels to encourage engagement and continuity.
- Coach individuals on goal setting, study practices, and scheduling strategies that improve academic performance and long-term progress.
- Identify learning obstacles early and connect employees with appropriate institutional support options, including tutoring and other academic assistance services.
- Review performance trends and progression data to highlight successes, address concerns, and recommend practical next steps.
- Create and present educational resources or workshops focused on academic success, time management, and effective learning habits.
- Build productive relationships with employees, employer partners, and educational institutions to support a positive advising experience.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in academic advising, academic coaching, higher education support, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated success assisting adult learners or other non-traditional student populations is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to conduct effective business conversations and prepare clear documentation.
- Ability to coach with empathy, listen actively, and tailor support based on individual learner needs and challenges.
- Experience using computers, CRM platforms, and related systems to document interactions, monitor progress, and manage caseload activity.
- Capacity to travel up to 10% as needed and work effectively in a standard office environment, including occasional extended hours based on business demand.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, remain dependable under pressure, and maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications
Must be located in MST or PST.
Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
