About the role
The remote Academic Administrator/Principal at the High School campus directs and coordinates educational, administrative, and counseling activities of students.
Responsibilities
- Evaluates, develops, and coordinates educational programs to ensure compliance with state and local school board standards.
- Researches and implements non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards.
- Manages teaching and administrative staff, including Master and Lead Teachers and programs.
- Articulates the school’s mission and vision to ensure all stakeholders understand and work cooperatively towards achieving desired results.
- Utilizes and relies heavily on communication technologies and practices that support a predominantly virtual/remote work environment.
- Convenes with teachers, students, and parents to address educational and behavioral issues.
- Coordinates expulsions and withdrawals with teachers and K12 Enrollment.
- Safeguards the school’s compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including those pertaining to special education.
- Develops and oversees the implementation of the school’s Academic Improvement Plan.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in business, education, or related field of study
- Five (5) years of educational experience
- One (1) year of supervisory experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Qualifications
- Demonstrable leadership, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.)
- Ability to travel 20%
Skills
- Experience as an online/virtual educator
- State License as a School Administrator

Schedule
Full-time position, typically 40+ hours per week, with a typical workday from 8am to 5pm Central Time.
