AC MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (1st Shift)
Join Dassault Falcon Jet at our recently opened state-of-the-art flagship Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB) in Melbourne, Florida. This complex accommodates all current Falcon models, including the new ultra-long-range Falcon 10X, and supports major maintenance and modifications on up to 18 Falcon models.
About the role
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician works as part of an assigned hangar team, supporting planned aircraft maintenance projects at the Dassault Service Center. You will perform troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and/or electronic systems on all models of Falcon Jet corporate aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Present yourself in a professional manner and appearance in day-to-day contact with customers, guests, and co-workers.
- Perform tasks as required by the work scope with efficiency and to quality standards, utilizing applicable technical data for maintenance, inspection, servicing, lubrication, troubleshooting, repair, modifications, fueling, and de-fueling.
- Be thoroughly familiar with the Quality Control systems and procedures of the Repair Station/Quality Control Manual relative to assigned duties.
- Perform at maximum efficiency by effective use of available resources.
- Possess a working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, particularly CFR parts 43, 91, 145, and 135 as required.
- Complete aircraft maintenance paperwork and forms in accordance with methods outlined in the RSM/QCMS.
- Support the Aircraft Crew Chief with shift turnover requirements as outlined in the RSM/QCMC.
- Collaborate with the Customer Project Supervisor to achieve on-time and on-budget objectives.
- Perform daily activities to meet and exceed customer satisfaction expectations.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices using a 5S system (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain).
- Focus on Human Factors in the workplace to drive zero defects in workmanship and safety.
- Observe and administer company rules, regulations, and safety policies.
- Support the corporate mission and vision through achievement of department goals and objectives.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Mechanic’s Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) rating.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a business jet maintenance environment, preferably on Falcon aircraft.
- Valid and active driver’s license.
- APU Operation qualified.
- Demonstrated organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft diagrams, charts, and schematics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must not be allergic to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids, or cleaning solvents.
- Ability to work and bend in confined workspaces.
- Manual dexterity required for technician tasks.
- Ability to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs.
- Knowledgeable and experienced using computers and aircraft software.
Qualifications (Desired)
- FAA Inspection Authorization.
- Successful completion of at least one (1) Falcon Initial Maintenance School.
- Engine Run & Taxi qualified on business jet aircraft, preferably on Falcon aircraft.
This position requires successful completion of the Melbourne Airport background check process.
Schedule
We are hiring for several positions with distinct shift schedules. Please indicate your preferred shift when applying.
- 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay
The compensation for this position typically falls between $29 and $50 per hour. This position is eligible for tech leveling to reflect varying levels of experience, overtime, and may qualify for shift differential or relocation assistance. Final compensation depends on factors such as relevant experience, Falcon-specific experience, education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
