Abilene eStores - In-Store Shopper - Part time

About the Role

As an eStore In-Store Shopper, you'll select, sort, and unload items to complete eCommerce online orders, providing superior customer service throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Selects merchandise from the sales floor to complete customer online orders
• Sorts / unloads selected merchandise into refrigeration, frozen, or dry storage holding areas
• Uses a digital tool to select items, pack and put away orders in the staging area, and retrieve orders for customers
• Makes decisions on customers' behalf if the requested item is unavailable
• Answers product-related questions, locates products, and assists in-store customers as needed
• Returns extra / unwanted products to their proper in-store location
• Communicates continuously with department Managers and Partners to locate products
• Minimizes shrink through careful handling of products
• Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and achieves productivity standards
• Performs eStore Curbie duties as needed
• Complies with federal, state, and company regulations / standards for product freshness, food safety, and sanitation
6.li>Gathers baskets and picks up trash inside and outside the eStore as needed
• Maintains / stocks bag areas
• Organizes carts and maintains cleanliness within the eStore

Qualifications

• 16+ years of age
• 3+ months of experience as a Curbie or related experience (required)
• Experience in personal shopping (preferred)

• Strong customer service skills (required)
• Strong communication skills (required)
• Ability to make effective decisions on behalf of the customer with limited information (required)
• Ability to prioritize and handle cross-functional tasks (required)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (required)

Education

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent (preferred)

Licenses/Certifications

• Completion of all required training upon hire (e.g., Alcohol Seller's Training) (required)

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

The role requires working in a fast-paced environment, handling detailed work with precision, and staying attentive to customer needs. Physical demands include:

• Constantly walking, reaching at waist, and grasping
• Frequently reaching at knees, pushing / pulling with arms
• Occasionally sitting, standing, reaching overhead, reaching at shoulders, reaching at floor, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, climbing stairs, pivoting, twisting, pinching, and performing fine motor movements
• Lifting up to 55 lbs and managing in excess of 55 lbs with assistance or by breaking down items into smaller components
