About the role
Project Genesis, Inc. is seeking an Independent Living Skills Trainer (ILST) to support individuals with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) in the Clinton, CT areas.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as daily routines, budgeting, cooking, and communication.
- Provide non-medical care, supervision, and socialization based on each client’s personalized service plan.
- Encourage, guide, and celebrate progress — big and small!
- Be a positive, steady presence as your clients build stronger, more fulfilling lives.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- A high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required).
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and good driving record.
- Verifiable experience with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI): 2 years with a high school diploma or equivalent, OR 1 year with a bachelor’s degree.
