About the role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, is hiring multiple Instructors for the Academic Support Staff. The appointment is for an initial one‑year term, with possible renewal for up to three years based on satisfactory performance and funding availability. Instructors receive research and educational support to prepare for academic and/or clinical careers, and may develop a specialized research focus in consultation with the Division Chief.
Responsibilities
- Interpretation of Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, and Fluoroscopy of the body.
- Participation in the Abdominal Imaging off‑hour on‑call program, covering evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Opportunity to develop and pursue research projects with institutional support.
- Collaboration with Penn Radiology’s clinical services across HUP, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and affiliated outpatient imaging centers in PA, NJ, and DE.
Requirements
- Medical degree (M.D.) or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent.
- American Board of Radiology certification or eligibility.
- Sub‑specialty training in an ACGME‑approved abdominal imaging fellowship program.
- Prior experience in image‑guided biopsy is highly desirable but not required.
